Another Ukiyo-e picture. Background is Cherry, kimono is Sapelle and walnut, red-colored wood is dyed birch, fan is made from Shellac and Ink. Size is 14" by 10" unframed (approximately). The picture will be framed later.

Glad you liked the picture. Marquetry is an ancient (as in ancient Egyptian) art form. Some great work in marquetry was also done in the Renaissance as well as in France during the reign of Louis XIV
